We at 1st Call are proud to work with regularly with a number of beautiful local venues around the West Country. These range from small village halls and barns, large hotel chains and everything in between. The West Country has a wealth of venues that cater to all manner of events from weddings and birthday parties to corporate events. One venue that is capable to host all of these events is Batch Country House. Located in Lympsham (Somerset), this family run venue has 4 ceremony spaces, a large marque-style suite, 21 on-site bedrooms and some of the most stunning grounds surrounding the main house. It’s no surprise for the last 30 years, this venue is one of the most popular in the West Country for weddings.
Our Singing Waiters have performed at Batch for many years across many events. The majority of our visits have been for weddings as our Singing Waiters have surprised many brides, grooms and guests as part of their wedding breakfasts being hosted in the stunning Ivory Suite. The suite is perfectly designed for all forms of musical entertainment, with incredible acoustics that contribute to a loud celebration to occur. The staff at Batch always lay out the suite so beautifully, but also enable adequate room for our Singing Waiters to manoeuvre around the suite and include everyone in their performances. This allows our Singing Waiters to focus on creating a performance that can match the sheer majesty of the venue they are in.
But what truly makes Batch Country House so special are the people who work at this venue. From the owners James & Anna, Emma the events co-coordinator to Carol and all the fabulous members of their team, they make the experience of Batch nothing short of perfection from start to finish. They always make our Singing Waiters extremely welcome and we are always eager to return so we can see them again. It’s this collaborative effort between our team and the team at Batch that results in rip-roaring performances that raise the roof with those in attendance.
