Poolside Relaxation and & a Crazy Conga!

MAGICAL MOMENTS WE’VE MADE!
In this new segment, we are looking back at the Singing Waiters our teams have performed at that have stayed long in the memory. Whether that be for the location, the staff, the audience or the entire event itself, we have had the privilege to be a part of some very special events.

Poolside Relaxation and & a Crazy Conga!
Our 1st Magical Moment takes us back to September 2022 when our team of Amanda & Elizabeth visited the fabulous Barnstaple Hotel in Devon for the wedding breakfast of Claire and Adrian. As the amazing staff of The Barnstaple had the proceedings under control, our team were allowed access to the poolside area to relax, soak up some sun and stay hidden from the guests they were there to surprise. Luckily, neither of them felt the urge to go for dip.

When the performance kicked off, the guests were all in the mood to have a good time. We sometimes finish our routines by getting the bride to lead a conga line around the room. Thankfully the bride was happy to oblige and as she danced round the room, more of her guests joined the line. But they weren’t the only ones in the conga line, the wedding coordinator and some of her staff also joined in. To see that they were enjoying the party atmosphere as much as our Bride and Groom was incredible for our Singing Waiters.

1ST CALL RECOMMENDS – PAPRIKA BRISTOL

We at 1st Call perform in a variety of different venues and occasions for Singing Waiters. Whether it be wedding breakfasts, birthday parties or corporate events, our teams can adapt their skills to any occasion. Then we heard (via the amazing team at Whats On Bristol) from Tan, the owner of Paprika Bristol, an Indian restaurant based in South Bristol who were looking to do something a little different for their 10th anniversary weekend of celebration.

Their idea was to have our Singing Waiters perform 4 times (twice on Friday, twice on Saturday) for their customers in the restaurant. A Singing Waiters, open to the public and performed back-to-back between sittings, was a challenge that we were all excited to undertake. With our teams chosen (Peter/Elizabeth for Friday and Elizabeth/Stephen for Saturday) and the specifics for the events in place, Paprika’s weekend of celebration was an incredible success. Their customers for the weekend even included the Deputy Mayor of Bristol. The food was delicious and the customers enjoyed joining in with our singing waiters, singing and dancing along with every song.

But what made the weekend so fantastic was Tan, his brilliant team of waiters and chefs, a venue that is aesthetically beautiful and food of the highest standard and taste. Our three Singing Waiters even returned to Paprika following on from the event to enjoy the glorious food for themselves. It was 5 stars across the board from Peter, Elizabeth and Stephen.

If you’re looking for a restaurant that has a great atmosphere, welcoming staff that make you feel like part of the family and food that will have you planning to return before you’ve left, Paprika Bristol is the place for you. They also do takeaways!

SO, WHAT HAVE WE BEEN UP TO?

SO, WHAT HAVE WE BEEN UP TO?

It was a joyful June for us here at 1st Call with some amazing Singing Waiters that our teams performed at:

– Hartham Park, Corsham (Wedding) – This was our 1st visit to this stunning Georgian 50-acre estate for the wedding of Ashley & Abbie (booked by Teresa). The bride and groom were completely unaware and when it was time to perform, our Mrs. & Mr. team of Elizaeth & Stephen we’re thrilled to see the happy couple and all their guests were in the mood to celebrate in style. A special mention goes to Chloe and all her team at Hartham Park who made our team feel so welcome.

– The White Barn, Somerset (Wedding) – We visited this West Country jewel of a venue to surprise the guests of Casey Marie and Luke’s wedding breakfast. To accompany the big personalities that our team of Peter, Ian and Emma had fun with on the day was a cake that left the team speechless at almost 12 feet tall. This was certainly a culinary masterpiece to remember.

– Paintworks, Bristol (Corporate Party) – Booked as part of the 20th anniversary celebrations of Vulcain Engineering, our team visited The Paintworks in Bristol. This reimagined creative quarter saw almost 200 members of Vulcain’s family come together for delicious food (Relish Catering) combined with an awards ceremony celebrating the achievements of their staff. Our team of Amanda, Elizabeth and Stephen earned an MVP award as they served a fabulous performance, keeping the energy levels as high as the temperature.

– Aylburton Village Hall, Lydney (Wedding) – On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, our team of Carol and Stephen visited this quaint little venue for the wedding breakfast of Phaedra & Niall. Booked for the 3rd time by the Godmother of the bride (Sara) our team had an amazing time with a wedding party who were not going to let the heatwave stop them from celebrating in style. A “fireball’” of a group.

– Froginwell Vineyard, Exeter (Wedding) – Returning to this ideallic venue for the 3rd time in 4 years, our “partners in wine” (Peter and Michelle) visited for the wedding breakfast of Emily & Brandon. The stunning vineyard in the Devonshire countryside is a perfect wedding venue and combined with the amazing team of Titley Green caterers, our Singing Waiters had everything they needed to sing and surprise the house down with a fabulous group of guests.

The going was good at Phillip Hobbs Celebration

Peter and Emma, the singing waiters of 1st Call, had the privilege of participating in a momentous celebration in the British horse racing industry last month. Trainer Philip Hobbs had achieved his 3000th win, and to commemorate this incredible milestone, his wife Sarah organised a unique luncheon at their stables near Minehead in Somerset. The guest list comprised their staff, horse trainers, and well-known jockeys. In order to add something extra special and distinct to the event, Sarah hired 1st Call singing waiters to surprise and entertain the guests.

According to Sarah, "Peter and Emma were fantastic. They blended in with the real wait staff, serving champagne and canapes before breaking out into song. They performed several popular tunes, encouraging everyone to join in." It was a fitting and enjoyable surprise for such an important occasion. Congratulations to Philip on his success, and here's to the next 3000 wins!

Had our guests in the palm of their hands

The singing waiters were brilliant and had our guests in the palm of their hands?. Great singing and great songs. Everyone had a huge surprise and a fantastic time. It helped make our day.

Please pass this onto the singers on our behalf.

Thanks again

Bride and groom Amanda and Peter, achieved their dream wedding on the weekend with the perfect choice of venue

Brilliantly Beaming Bournemouth Singing Waiters

It is always difficult to know what kind of entertainment to book for the company Christmas party, particularly something which is going to appeal to all age groups.

Dorset based company Flowbird Transport Intelligence certainly made the right choice for their last Christmas party held at the hugely popular Highcliffe Marriott Hotel in Bournmouth.

They chose to surprise and entertain their staff with a performance from 1st call singing waiters. The singers disguised themselves to be real waiters, assisted with the serving of the delicious meal before surprising all the guests by suddenly bursting into song. Everyone certainly entered in the spirit of the occasion and had a great time. Only problem now is what to book for next year!
